Our new home is just outside one of the sweetest, prettiest villages in Scotland where Ava goes to school. Every summer they hold a street fair and cover the place in bunting. The kids have a costume competition and this years theme was 'historical characters'. The children's parade was adorable and the whole day was such a nice welcome to our new home, even if it rained a bit.

Ava's friend Freya visited from Glasgow for a sleepover and dressed up as the pirate Anne Bonny. Ava was Florence Nightingale (in honour of her Nanny who is a nurse).

Sophie, I hope you have settled into your new home and village well. This looks like a lot of fun for Ava. I love it when they encourage the children to get involved and be a part of the happenings in the community. Ava makes a beautiful Florence Nightingale.
